In May of 2006, the OCWC developed and approved an outline for a watershed management plan. (Click here to view this outline.) More recently, under the direction of the Genesee Finger Lakes Regional Planning Council, there has been a reworking of a plan for the Oatka watershed. Work under this “Intermunicipal Planning for the Black & Oatka Creek Watersheds” project will result in a finished watershed plan, with a target date for completion in 2012. The revised plan will have six major components: • A Characterization of the Watershed • Sub-watershed Prioritization • Regulatory/Programmatic Evaluation • Identification of Management Strategies • A “Phasing Plan” (i.e. Issue Prioritization and Implementation) • Intermunicipal Coordinating Organizations |
